AFTERCARE

Keep this guide handy while your brows heal.

Expected Healing

  • Your color will look bold and sharp at first, then soften as you heal — how much varies from person to person.
  • Mild redness, minimal swelling, tenderness, flaking, dryness, or itching can occur during the first days of healing (1–10 days), and should gradually ease as you heal.
  • Full healing takes 6–8 weeks for the true color to emerge.

Day 1

  • Gently blot the area with a clean tissue to remove excess lymph fluid, repeating until the oozing stops.

Days 1–5 · Wash

  • Wash twice daily, morning and evening, with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap, using patting motions.
  • Avoid acid-based or exfoliating cleansers.
  • Stop washing once scabbing or flaking begins.

Days 1–5 · Moisturize

  • Apply a rice-sized amount of the PMU ointment I provide, 2–3 times daily, with clean fingertips or a Q-tip, and blot any excess.
  • Let flakes fall off naturally — picking can cause scarring or pigment loss.

What to Avoid

  • Direct sun or tanning beds — wear a hat.
  • Heavy sweating, exercise, swimming, saunas, and hot showers (2 weeks).
  • Makeup or skincare products on the treated area (30 days). The only exception is the aftercare ointment I provide, used as directed above.
  • Exfoliating products or acids on the treated area (30 days).
  • Facials, microdermabrasion, microneedling, peels, or laser (4 weeks).
  • Tweezing or tinting brows (2 weeks).
  • Do not sleep on your face (10 days).
  • Use a clean pillowcase during the first 10 days.
  • Heavy household cleaning with airborne debris.

Touch-Up & Good to Know

  • A touch-up session 6–12 weeks after your initial procedure is recommended to perfect color and symmetry — your first touch-up is included in your service.
  • Results may appear lighter or uneven as your skin renews — this is normal.

When to Seek Medical Care

  • Seek prompt medical care for: redness that keeps spreading, pain or swelling that increases, pus or discharge, or fever. These can be signs of infection.
