AFTERCARE

About This Treatment

  • These instructions are for pigment camouflage — skin-tone pigment placed over a healed scar.
  • They do not apply to inkless treatments.

Right After Your Session

  • Do not take Advil during the first 24 hours.
  • You may shower 12 hours after your procedure.

Your Aftercare Product

  • Apply your aftercare twice a day to keep the area hydrated.
  • Recommended: Cicaplast (balm or gel).
  • Use it daily for 8 weeks or until your next treatment, for best results.

Alternatives

  • CeraVe moisturizer may be used instead, if you prefer it.
  • If you prefer a natural option, coconut oil may be used instead.

What Is Normal

  • Mild redness, swelling, tightness, and a sunburn-like feeling can occur, and should gradually ease as you heal.

What to Avoid

  • Heat: no sauna, hot tub, or heavy sweating.
  • No swimming for about 10 days.
  • Tight clothing over the treated area — choose loose clothing instead.

Once Fully Healed

  • Use sunscreen when the treated area is exposed to the sun.

  • Please follow your personalized aftercare instructions, and contact me if you have any questions.

When to Seek Medical Care

  • Seek prompt medical care for: redness that keeps spreading, pain or swelling that increases, pus or discharge, or fever. These can be signs of infection.
